About
Me
Founded
on April 1, 2000, by Barbara
S.Jenkins, my solo practice set its primary goal as providing
the highest quality legal representation for ordinary
people. Located in an historic building in downtown
Charlottesville, Virginia, I practice in General
District, Circuit and Juvenile & Domestic Relations
District courts in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
I also serve the counties of Amherst, Buckingham, Fluvanna,
Greene, Nelson, Orange, Palmyra, and as well as other
counties in Virginia, the Virginia Court of Appeals
and the Virginia Supreme Court. Additionally, I practice before
the United States District Court in Charlottesville
and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
My
clients range from wealthy widows who request estate
planning, to very young children with disabilities
who need legal assistance to obtain services. I serve
my clients’ needs by being accessible, explaining
the particular legal matter carefully, and providing
creative recommendations based on extensive experience
and excellent legal research.
I
also maintain strong practices in Special Education Law, Wills, Trusts
& Estates, Elder Law, Criminal Defense, and matters
related to children: Custody & Visitation, Truancy,
Traffic, Criminal, Child Abuse & Neglect, and
Foster Care.
I
encourage you to explore my web site to learn more
about my law practice. I also provide
short summaries of my areas of practice for educational
purposes and hope that you will contact me if you
have any questions.
